Individual Psychotherapy
Originally trained in the psychodynamic tradition, I have evolved into a an eclectic, holistic clinician professionally. I find psychodynamic theory to most accurately pinpoint underlying reasons for psychiatric symptoms; whereas, techniques derived from cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and acceptance and commitment therapy approaches helpful in achieving behavioral change. As an empathic collaborator, I try to meet a client where they are, and allow each to tell their "story" at their own pace. Simultaneously, I try to help each client develop self-reflective capacity by understanding and processing thoughts and emotions, learning about sense of self-in context, and examine inherent relational patterns. These discoveries can help in confronting fears and removing various barriers in the pursuit of health and wellness. Â
